Definitely can confirm that this gate shifter demands statement of intent-selecting whether you want Drive, Neutral, Reverse or Tiptronic. Also, it really is the anti-thesis to the Hydropneumatic suspension of my Citroën, wafty versus Rennsporty … first time switching from one to the other feels like being a novice driver, either there’s no feeling in pedals and steering, or there is a galaxybrain explosion of impressions where there was none before. But now - finally - understanding why people rave on about a chatty steering and what that means. Loving the sunroof and air-y-ness it brings. And the best joke… wait for it… so far, it beats the Cit when it comes to mpg.
Guess I am left-shifting my midlife crisis (or in best Sonnick-ness, speeding into it like a mad hog)!
