it’s called “no more heroes” but they keep making them, by a studio called Grasshopper Manufacture, who don’t actually make grasshoppers. So much deception

There’s also a company called Grasshopper film that does a lot of festival circuit film distribution that’s yet to release a single film about grasshoppers (not even the short Apichatpong Weeraskthekul make for year of the everlasting storm!!!)

the name isn’t “no more no more heroes”. have any of the sequels introduced any new actual heroes?
There’s a whole mode in Killer7 filled with grasshoppers.
EDIT: plus now I think of it, Mask’s final costume, as a Kamen Rider homge, is also a grasshopper.

There are characters like Electro Triple Star from Travis Strikes Again that Travis refers to as ‘my [childhood] hero’ but I’m not sure if that counts.
The sequels introduce other established characters as playable characters if that’s what we mean.
The alternate title of No More Heroes 3 is Goddamn Superhero and a character claims they are a superhero.

I’m trying to form a non-dismissive response to “Does This Game Have This Theme? I will not play to find out.”
I am playing No More Heroes 3 and it is the most successful in the series in having ideas. As an older wiser human, I think the series idea of hero is closer to Tokusatsu where maybe the city gets destroyed or is a space alien with slightly alligned values of “the good guys.” In the 3rd one Travis meets a Super Hero and his hero.
The title was always a cool thing before an idea and working backwards towards that.
