Speaking of Bokeh, it’s Gravity Rush’s 10th anniversary today! Toyama even did an interview about it. Gravity Rush 10th Anniversary Interview with Keiichiro Toyama! - Gravity Rush Central
did anyone here play birdyworld back in the day? indiegames.com project that was like, build a shared Zelda overworld and set of dungeons IIRC, had lots of cool rules that enforced balance and difficulty. I think it hit a dead end in terms of design but it was cool anyway, that’s what this reminded me of even though it’s obviously just like, Zelda Maker
they should team up with Watermelon’s Magical Game Factory for an all-star cast of embezzlers
if the entirety of this man’s comments do not boil down to “Sony sent my daughter out to die - twice” then I don’t want to read it
Gravity Rush 2 got a remaster of it’s prequel and two anime OVAs but none of those ever caught on. I just don’t think the series really connected with most people.
I probably would have eaten this up with a spoon 12 years ago or so. Now I think some of the robot drone designs are cool and that’s about it.
oh man the cherry on top is that they now want to sell amico games as nfts
this is a really weird game - none of the four people listed on their company bio have previous game credits? I had assumed there’d be someone from e.g. Arkane or GSC at the head

Heaven’s Vault devs working on an untitled climbing game
I like how it seems to be taking the Getting Over It style of hard-polygon 2d space into a cozier, less hellish-challenge direction
There is a world where the Switch didn’t exist, and the guy from Aerosmith’s cousin didn’t lean so hard into the family friendly thing with promoting the Amico, and I’d be starting to sweat about my pre-order right now.
The document’s section on risk factors does say that “there may never be a fully operational Intellivision Amico” and that such a scenario would be due to “a change in business model,” should Intellivision decide that a physical Amico console launch would “not be in the best interest of the Company and its stockholders/members/creditors.”
Just astonishing. I can’t get enough of this trainwreck.
I think Inkle is my favorite studio right now. They’re constantly working and never on the same idea twice. I’ve only played Heaven’s Vault and 80 Days, but I really want to play others, espeically Pendragon.
I feel like there’s a climbing zeitgeist all of a sudden like how 7 years ago suddenly every game had to have a bow as one of your man weapons in action games
Unexpected sequel (I think I’d read about this a while ago though, some guy bought Telltale and is trying to resurrect it)
i’m not ashamed to admit i want mario kart 9. give it to me
