btw he mentioned in the interview, the first one who beaten the game he known was Arita. Arita was one of the 10 men beaten the 60 levels in Japan at 1984, and the beaten place is Namco’s Sugamo arcade.

This playlist from a Taiwan based nostalgia YouTuber has all their videos on video games, including DOS games and arcades. Unfortunately I don’t think they have Eng subs or even auto translate for subtitles turned on. But you can get the general idea. I guess unsurprisingly tw games culture was kind of an odd mix of Japanese and North American stuff. Afaik he hasn’t done any videos exclusively on locally made things but there are some interesting ones in the DOS video especially
