I’m running this on 8gb of ddr3 and it’s fine. The minimum specs for this are just way off.

Ancestor Spirit is one damn beautiful boss.

yeah minimums at this point are more like the industry saying “look just upgrade your computers please they weren’t supposed to last this long and we’re not gonna make our testers use a 2500k” than actual minimums

I eventually figured out how to buy upgrade materials and I’ve got a sword, hammer, and axe each with a different affinity so I can do basically this. For me it’s less for bosses and more for the normal-sized creeps and weirdos I find in caves and such.

Yeah I’ve noticed you basically straight up need to have a strike weapon in order to fight some enemies

I forgot the whip is a striker otherwise I would have invested in it.

I love the music in Volcano Manor. So dramatic and menacing and restrained, kind of generic but effective. Actually, I want to mention how much fun the set up for Volcano Manor is. It feels exactly like a classic of Gothic lit. Like Castle of Otranto where there are hidden passage ways, familial secrets, distant and fearsome patriarchs. The daughters are too good (not really) to be in such a place. It stands out from the rest of the genre work in this game, for being better but also for just coming from a very different place in literature.

I just found this place! Excited to explore a weird new zone. The boss beforehand was a bit of a push over but I have been exploring tons of other areas

Godrick is done and Stormveil picked up clean.
we had a laugh here at home when he went second phase. I went around him avoiding him so we could watch the fire pretyness.

I hate multiphase boss fights with multiple health bars so much

it was good but what an exhausting game. haligtree was the only part I had trouble with for some reason. even the boss annihilated my mimic tear. I can’t imagine actually playing this whole game at a reasonable stat level and not ever summoning anything

I was wondering who had become LORD. Congrats!

at times this game reminds me of Kingdoms of Amalur

I think I ended up becoming more of a elden househusband than a lord

so you went for the ending I’m going for

Took two days off playing the game to rest a bit, but today’s short session was a bit unusual, as I revisited and combed over Stormveil to try and find what door a leftover key I had could open. That led me to discover several hidden spots I’d missed on my previous visits, but I still don’t know what that key is for. Anyway, gotta say I love how intricate the castle’s topography is.

Hey is there any reason not to do the Volcano Manor assassination quests? It sort of seems like the “next thing to do” for me but I don’t want it to fuck up my play through and being a murderer seems bad
