yeah, this is more or less my feelings on the game as well. also, fuck the horse. horseback battle is terrible and the idea of the horse is antithetical to what from generally does. I get that they had to give you one given the direction/size of the game, but I’d rather they have dramatically reworked that idea to ditch the horse
I gave up on sekiro less than ten hours in. strictly timing based combat, which means impossible for me, plus random samurai story that I don’t care about, stealth that I hate, level design that I found confusing and shitty. just didn’t like anything about it outside of pressing the attack button.

I said an hour in and I still stand by that like 60 hours later (but maybe not so much the resulting thought experiment about Demon’s being a classic Reese’s Cup and Dark being Reese’s Pieces…and yet…yes*)
Feeling this as well (but also the Draconic Tree Sentinel is kicking my ass and I’m salty as HELL right now and sick of this lol).
*EDIT: King’s Field is the peanut butter. Armored Core bitter chocolate. The Adventures of Cookie & Cream abstractly self-explanatory.

I read I as a joke as well, but I can’t say I don’t feel something for Booji’s sentiment. I haven’t seen much “git gud” responses to Elden Ring, and it is very refreshing. The whole these-games-are-so-fucking-hard marketing gimmick did its purpose, and I hope we’re done with it by now.

once @Tulpa told me all I had to do to the Crystalians was stagger them, I realized Gravity Well worked just fine, and I took the duo down with minimal effort. Now I’ll know how to dispatch them quickly when I run into even more.
sometimes all it takes to get better is to look at my existing toolset again, I really appreciate this about the game

True story: I somehow completely ignored this UI element until I had “Firebreather” equipped against some snails that were spitting crystal ice and I thought “what a great name for them.” Then hours later I was like “No, this enemy is not called Parry.”
