this one drops a dex/int weapon that is extremely useful against the eventual big boss of the underground rivers
my all over the place build is still holding up for me really well now that I’ve finally pumped vigor but my stats are very silly on paper, they’re like 22/18/18/18/18/25/14/9
Inspired by your example but not to the point that I’m willing to deviate from minmaxing, I’ve realized a nice perk of picking Wretch is that I have access to a lot of 10 faith utility incantations. I’ve started to use the stealth one to get easy backstabs and the elemental defense buffs against bosses.
Yeah that one. It’s not as useful as I thought it might be because they still wake up on line-of-sight and often in groups, but it means I can run up and backstab the biggest threat while the group is just about to wake up
was playing offline for most of my time since the xbox servers weren’t working. now that they’re working i’m annoyed by all the message spam and when i quick resume the game boots me back to the menu for disconnecting. i might stay offline!
quick resume on xbox is a great way to “pause” btw. idk if it works on ps5 or not.
I switched to “borderless windowed” mode and that seems to have helped the stuttering and invisible monsters thing, but its still worse than it was earlier today. Frustrating. I’m sure they will work it out eventually. It was running perfectly this afternoon.
guess for the next 20 levels I’m putting points in nothing but arcane so I can use this sword everyone is complaining scaling doesn’t work on because it looks cool. hopefully I won’t need any more health or stamina in that time
The subtly new approach to dragons in Elden Ring also reminds me of Monster Hunter. They’re all chilling in the wilds and DGAF about human affairs. You can take the initiative to hunt them down to acquire a fraction of their power. But nobody has managed to persuade one to defend a castle rampart.
this game is very, very, very large, by the way. I have no idea how anyone would complete it in 30 hours. I’m a bit north of that and I keep feeling like I’m maybe halfway
the Lake of Rot is hilarious. it’s like, in exchange for finally tying together all the many plot threads around Liurnia and the witches and assassins and the underground, you get… Demon’s Souls 5-2.
