Did you run into the Draconic Tree Sentinel I was talking about yet? He’s like a much harder version of Loretta. At that level of Vigor he will probably one-shot you constantly. Time to get ridiculously good at dodge timings or cheese him somehow with all your build versatility.
I was thinking of maybe putting a couple points in vigor next

I fought him with around 25 Vigor/28 Strength and kept thinking “why did I put so many points in Strength. I could be 31 Vigor/22 Strength right now”
I was never tempted to invest in Endurance for once though. Stayed at my starting 10 for ages. Something weird happened in the balancing of this game where Vigor traded places with Endurance as the key dump stat

I only pumped endurance so I could carry all my character’s extremely useful and diverse garbage at once

i find myself smiling when i think about how they added giant crawfish in this to compliment the giant crabs i hope they cancel all of their other ideas and immediately and make another elden ring game right away just so i can have another giant enemy shellfish

My initial reaction to this game after a brief exposure is:
- Walking around collecting stupid shit is predictably boring.
- I really prefer the pace of Dark Souls games. Ideally I want time between encounters in these games to be 15-30 seconds. Exploring big dumb 3d environments is not fun for me. I have too much to do.

Started as a Wretch as is my tradition, pretty far behind everyone else here I gather, had a few close matches against Margit but I’m still too underpowered/the people I summoned were fools so I’m wandering and wondering now.
Took that long lift down to the subterranean cosmic gorgeousity of River Siofra before realising I was not gonna get too far down there (but did get to take a co-op stab at that undead moose thing whoa). Probably time to upgrade this Lordsorn’s Greatsword… Kinda going the meathead melee route while falling back on this fire incantation when needed.
Must resist the urge to let this game swallow me whole it’s so goooood.
I wonder if using a walkthrough for most of the overworld still leaves roughly a Dark Souls of stuff to resolve.
The more I’ve been playing the more I feel the overworld is more some kind of spread out Dark Souls pancake rather than BotW-like.

I’m overpowered from all the summoning so I’m enjoying the game now. godrick was the easiest boss fight for me so far though. I would of helped a bunch of people kill him but I seem to get disconnects and crashes all the time now. for some reason opening saturday night in stormveil castle with nonstop instant summon times all night long everything was working fine.
my favorite thing is when I get summoned by somebody and we’re just running around the field getting into things
I should probably have more vigor but every time I hit something I think “one more str point should do it” I don’t have the elite gamer skill to stay in fights forever rolling around and shit, I need to kill things as quick as possible. I end up soloing most fights just so they’ll have a smaller health bar.
so far the only cheating I’ve done is look up gold seed locations and a couple weapons, on my way to one such weapon now and I’m way off to the north past some great lift that had a magical ward you need two keys that I have none for. I really need to go back and do the red area though
I bypassed the lift and took the coward’s passage
I love the gut’s sword and how it takes up 50 percent of every screenshot. from was right I should of just been playing the games like the berserk fan games they are

I think I’m finally playing this right, looking for marks and such on the map and then going there and doing stuff. They’re not just decoration, those marks.
But I fell into a warp trap and my map got much bigger.
