Nintendo has probably been approached by like a dozen mid-sized studios begging “pwease let me make this metroid pitch ninty-sempai” for like the past decade and a half (this is literally why Samus Returns even exists). The series is too beloved by Nintendo Fans who make videogames for it to truely, definitively die.
Anyhow, please look forward to Metroid Dread becoming the best-selling title in the series by at least a factor of 3.

i did not need to learn that because “crawling in my skin” and “in the end” were literally everywhere my freshman year of high school and it was impossible to avoid. dude who gave me a ride to swim practice every day after school just pumped those 2 songs and “a place for my head” endlessly at top volume. people at my high school didn’t know who Radiohead was so i never felt more alone. Linkin Park was really good compared to a lot of the other crap (POD, Nickelback, etc) though.

for me it was Pearl Jam (Vs. i think? it was several years old by the time i bought it) and upon reflection that was kinda the earlier iteration of Linkin Park in a lot of ways
