DX:MD (Deus Ex: Mega Drive … or rather Genesis (does)?)
… if the next title will be Distributed Chaos (DX:DC), we’ll know that there’s someone at eidos who’s a nerd.
speaking of nerd(s), Jensen is back, and considering the trailer from last year, he seemed to be a bit grumpy. Obviously, resident SQEX-victim that I am, I had to get this to find out why Jensen is so grumpy. If this game doesn't have fake adverts and clips like HR,

… I'll be a bit sad. I loved the Sarif-spots and would like to see more of that, even when I know that I shouldn't compare MD to HR. I know that there are some terrorist plot-bits, and some illuminati namedropping, but more than that? Nope. Going into this exactly like with the old one, not having a clue what's what.
Hopefully there's _lots_ of ___h4rdcore h4cking___ in this game! Since Watchdogz maxxed my 1337-skills _big time_, I feel confident that I can hack anything from a handkerchief to a toothbrush ~~~
So … anyone else in for this? (as usual in SB 2.0, pixx coming soon/when _things_ happen)
that Razor CEO feels like a bad actor excelling in playing a shady CEO in the game, kudos for that!
a~aaand you’ve heard it here first:
expect SQEX to sell limbs after WW3 and doing the inevitable emo-kids-belt-Tidus limited edition that’ll fly off the shelves faster than you can say “one more thing”.
Really sad they removed the piss filter and music that created such an amazing atmosphere in HR. That was the only thing the game had going for it for me because I couldn’t get into the gameplay or story.
this game has a .308 (7.62x51) rifle called BATTLE RIFLE but the description calls it the manufacturer’s “entry into the intermediate-caliber assault rifle class” I am v. offended
I’ve played a few hours and I’m having fun. Pushing the medium? Not really. But it’s fun to poke around in places and break into people’s apartments to see their cool looking future shit.
I appreciate that the main story doesn’t push you too hard and gives you time to explore Prague. It’s kinda double fun because most of your augs are broken after the first mission and if you avoid the main story they stay broken. The added challenge of doing side missions with the barest amount of cyber-help and the police breathing down your neck is the best part so far.
also, I feel I haven’t quite appreciated the degree to which zenimax and squeenix have between them carved up every remaining studio that can afford to make interesting 3D games but wasn’t already part of the EA/Activision/Ubisoft triumvirate. Just Cause 3 and Hitman are themselves a hell of a solid portfolio.
It is weird that squeenix haven’t bought nixxes outright yet given that they seem to be on standing order for virtually all of their various studios’ Windows releases
There’s a tab in your inventory called “storage” that you can pull them from. You can only do this once, for one save game, and the preorder items are kinda not really that useful!
