DX:MD - Jensen's Happy Hacking Illuminati Hunt

Uhh it’s at least in a poster I’ve seen walking around in the hub. Don’t know about much further than that because I’ve been messing with sidequest stuff forever now.

From what I heard it doesn’t go any further than that. The whole social commentary thing is apparently a big let down. Doesn’t help that Jensen is some sort of super privileged Interpol aug and never really has to deal with any augism issues. They botched that angle.

It was really funny when he claimed they came up with it first too.

Hmm, well that’s a bit disappointing, but as long as the game is largely free from stuff that people could easily construe as problematic, I’ll be happy.

Well, did he?
It’d be pretty sad if he did

This game would be great if they made it episodic, like Hitman. It seems every game has one problem and this one is the lack of ending. I would pay 20.00 for it. I bet they put it on sale when the relaunch Tomb Raider.

I liked this apartment in Jensen’s building:

They should have just replaced all of NPC dialogue with these words:

People are so harsh around here, I’m left with few options to cope:

This on the other hand, is not actually drunk vision:

Um, okay?

Reasonably well hidden easter egg (beneath a stack of cardboard boxes at the bottom of a crate):

In plain sight, but still somewhat difficult to catch easter egg:

Meanwhile this easter egg is unsubtle, enormous (larger than it is in Portal relative to player size!) and is also unmissable if you walk in this area:

This lady at the bank never had a phone, and wasn’t even talking to anyone before or after I interacted with her. I really hope that was deliberate:

Count me in as someone who also liked the pissfilter.
All those atmosphere-wrecking mods that “improved” the visuals by disabling it look so dumb

I hear you can enable it in MD if you run:

/path/to/dxmd.exe --pissfilter 1

Mandatory Super Bunnyhop Due Sex review

One of the few times I’d actually say skip the bunnyhop. I think people are bizarrely harsh on this game while I see it has problems.
Though I’m giving it a lot of points for actually being about something and not in a roundabout way, through connecting augs to racism sounds kinda odd, I really get the impression it’s more like becoming a refugee where you grew up in this case. But it’s easy to come down on a video game for tackling touchy subject matter. I like what the game is going on about.
It’s hard to argue the systems too much, but I do feel like I’ve spent most of the time with FPS controls when I’m mostly crouched walking around and reading things. It wold make more sense if Jenson was augmented to not have full legs but be at half height with wheels where his kneecaps go.
Also I can’t shake that this game would make a LOT more sense if we had a new protagonist. This game spends so much time dancing around where Jenson was, and how what he did had little effect on the now. It would of been stronger if he got ‘dissapeared’ and we were an aug who was dealing with this stuff fresh, would of opened it up to be more natural when they drone on about events in the last game.

But I’m having fun with it. About 9 hours in and I certainly haven’t beaten it. But the longest I’ve gone in a shooter game with periods of not shooting while still being entertained. They do more with the setting in this game than pretty much any other game I’ve ever played. I don’t think that gets enough credit.

imo DE:HR’s ubiquitous yellow filter just highlighted how monotonous the game was.

Was reading the Eurogamer review and they mentioned a power-up that was basically a debug menu or something? or does it enable you to see the wire frame of all the environments? Anyway, my friend bought it and said the city is huge and fun to explore and do goofy, broken shit like the last game. I’ll probably pick it up when it’s 20 bucks cheaper or if trash lady make an appearance, then I’d pay full price.

It’s because of that long “u”, right?

because of the hard U. And I am.

this game just sort of… ends
i don’t think i’ve played anything so anticlimactic in a while

Oh, that’s disappointing. The ending was one of the weakest moments of the previous game too. All four of them (btw, which one of those endings is taken as canon for this game? Or is it a weird blend of them all à la Invisible War?

There’s no way they’ll have that character in again considering how it was received

Why would you pay full price to see more stupid racism

Oh, Diplo.

So naive.

Wise man say, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.
