Yeah, up on the d-pad. Stumped me too until I accidentally discovered it
Note that you can’t actually just take a pic of the kappa statues and it count, you have to approach them and be prompted to press X to do it. Annoying for sure.
the way everyone makes a face and then poses when you pull out your selfie camera is SO CUTE. just interrupting EVERYTHING to make my party smile and peace sign
joon-gi han is so fuckin cool
I’ve watched all the movies. I like how not only do they get more boring as you go but your party members seem to enjoy them less.
ok what were they thinking with these dungeons, this is miserable
I kept thinking “This is way more Persona than I expected”
And then I hit a dungeon
i could’ve stood the dungeons being even longer, ngl. enjoyed zenning out and getting real jrpg hours
Ya it is giving me pretty much everything I want in a game right now and nothing’s really thrown me out of that groove though it would be nice if combat were a bit more challenging. I was surprised to find dungeon enemies were weaker than mooks around town. And it’s not like resource management in them is all that important so far cuz there are frequent save points and you restore HP/MP every time you level. I wish I could turn that off. I want more reasons to go and eat.
got the accessory that stops enemies spawning in town and unlocked the battle arena, endgame in sight
Nanba was my favorite character – potential top XX game characters of all time, even – and this chapter 7 twist fuckin’ blows. I figured they’d drop the ball eventually but I didn’t expect it this early.
Also disappointed that the purple haired gal maybe doesn’t join your party?? I was dreading the addition of new members cuz I really like the starter quartet but I thought I’d bump Adachi for the lady but maybe that isn’t happening now? Unless they do some shonen manga making friends with your enemies shit. Which whatever, fine! I’m sure it’ll be good but now I’m going to boot Nanba for stealing bum valour.
yeah between that twist which I just got to myself and the utterly ridiculous dungeon pacing I put this down, my enjoyment really cratered and it felt like I got to see the best of the systems stuff just before that so I think I’m calling it here
For what its worth, that second dungeon seems like it’s maybe the last, at least as of chapter 10. I kinda got the impression that it’s meant to be basically ‘the dungeon’, that you’re supposed to keep going back to for grinding as a side thing like the quizzes
Agreed about the twist. It’s not made much better by the resolution where he just finds his brother offscreen and then it’s all mostly forgotten
Selecting the foreman job opens up the hidden shops and the blocked off paths in the sewer dungeon. You don’t even need to level it up and can instantly change job again.
Just to note if you are in thrall to awful empty completionism as I am, those hidden shops also sell base stat boosters…for a cool 18m each… but only after starting NG+.
Also found a commented-out goof/left behind trace of the daily toil of localizers.
well he does look more like he’s 40 than “Kiryu 40”
I like how its like an rpg world map now and u can get murdered super hard if u go into high level areas. I constantly have no money cause im getting 2 shot by chinese mafia dudes.
Naming no names, one of the party members owned a dreamcast
it’s kinda interesting that you can totally ignore the job system in this and a lot of the base jobs are Top Tier anyway
a bit too exhausted for the postgame but this ruled
