DO U WANNA LIKE MY DRAGON?

I just unlocked more jobs and was going to switch, but then I lost the 2-hit multi-target attack, and that’s why I love Ichiban.

Am I doing something wrong or have I missed out on some top gear cuz I think I should insta-kill enemies half my level. I don’t think it should take 2 rounds to do that. I think that’s silly.

I kinda regret leveling up jobs cuz they’ve offered little benefit so far. Everyone kinda seems stronger in their main role?

Also hit a wall on a chapter 12 boss. He is 10 levels higher than I am and has given me my first game over and I’m not happy about it. I don’t wanna walk through the fucking HQ again.

I don’t think I’ve bought any armor since I first visited the sex shop cuz up until now damage seemed to be the only thing that mattered. The cracks in the RPG stuff are kinda showing post “disc swap” (whenever they upgrade the mooks around the city).

I can’t afford to upgrade the workshop or buy the 1mil+ weapons cuz I spent all my money on charity and main quest stuff! Ichiban Holdings should be paying me way more than it is. We’re top 20 now!!

Oh yeah and I’m never gonna get the 2mil from finding all the kappas cuz I took all 10 photos but the quest tracker is bugged and stuck at 9/10. I have gone around 3 times trying to figure out if I missed one and I did not. I even tried at day and at night. This thing has to be bugged and it bums me out but not as much as my refusal to let it go. I want my kappa credit!!

if you finish the ichiban holdings stuff you get 3 million every cycle and an aoe for kasuga that will one shot p much everything non-boss

that chapter 12 boss seems to be balanced with the assumption you did the battle arena sidequest (which you can burn through with the ridiculous aoe from management)

Ohh yeah I totally forgot to do the arena whoops I was too focused on eating

The Chapter 12 boss is a fitting difficulty spike.

Solution for me was also the battle arena sidequest. There are checkpoints so you can restaurant it up.

Also took a taxi to change jobs around. I would say the last two party members, Ichiban and Nanba are absolutely best in their starting jobs. The item needed to update the hero bat past +1 can also be found in Sotenbori convenience stores.

Once back at the boss Joon-gi Han’s attack which can poison comes in handy. I also used Pound-mates heavily.

Battle arena time and now I’m worried I spent way too much of the early game grinding when I really should have waited til now. I feel like I’m starting to burn out on the game and have just hit a wall with motherfuckin’ Majima.

I’m still enjoying everything I think I just need to get my brain to do something else.

I wish Dragon Kart was fun enough to justify doing it all. Is there any really good reward for doing it?

Where’s the battle arena? I am at chapter 12 and didn’t know it existed

Battle Arena’s in chapter 12 and visiting it is mandatory so you’ll hit it soon.

I don’t wanna play Dragon Kart or most of the side stuff aside from the movie theater, really. None of it is Horny Dad enough. None of it is as good as Kiryu logging onto a cam site. I know I said I wanted more virgin leads but I think Ichiban could be a little more horny. Even if it’s just an act.

Also is Zhou gay cuz you can kinda hit on him at one point

Do you get anything cool for beating the sewer? I ended up backtracking there cuz I swear I got a floor where both exits lead to the floor below it and I was very confused and I don’t want to go back.

I wanna say the loot is random down there so not really other than an exclusive boss at the end to go in your sujidex.

Boss fight against joon-gi han in chapter 7 was the first time i really had to play the jrpg for real. It was fun! God i hate how the camera swirls around in combat though. I wish it was just a clean row of dudes even if that would mean losing the funny environmental jank.

Also zhao is really hot

Dont like how level exp is distributed mostly in main quest stuff. Im here in chapter 9 and saeko is one level off unlocking her next job. I wanna get it before the next story bit so i can level it up in there but even fighting the new strong punks around town gets me so little it would take like over an hour to get her the one level she needs. And i know if i move forward with the story she will level up in like 2 fights

So many dudes in this game are not into wearing socks

EDIT: Kinda just echoing what others have said re: levelling.

My biggest issue so far is that levelling is so lopsided when it comes to progression generally. If I had known there’d be enemies everywhere giving tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands in once case) of exp I wouldn’t have grinded so much in the early game and done so many sidestories. In Yakuza generally you could usually brute force your way through even if your skills weren’t great but here the levelling presents an awkward challenge in balancing the rate at which players address side content or main content. A turn matters so much more here than when Kiryu pauses time to down another 10 Staminan X or whatever so when you’re underleveled you have to grind. But I didn’t do the right grinding. At least you can reliably upskill job ranks with the battle arena (although switching between locations makes this a bit onerous).

Does this one lock you out of side quests if you progress too far in the main story? I woulda left more stuff for later but I was worried that I’d miss out on goofy shit if I didn’t address it ASAP.

nah you don’t get locked out of anything, you get the ability to change the night/day cycle and finish everything up

there’s an accessory that turns off random battles in town but I can’t remember where it dropped, might have been battle arena

there’s a particular mob in the two underground dungeons that acts like the metal slimes in dq, worth just nuking the random battles and grinding them for half an hour to get all of the levelling you need done, Han’s rapid shot usually one turns them

Yeah it’s one of the earlier floors. I felt like the devs were taking pity on me for fighting so many level 9 nobodies.

No quests get locked afaik.

Got a crush on her :sob:
Bought her 20 bonsai trees but kasuga is too weak to give her more than one

The amount of time and money you have to spend on her is downright criminal. Kiryu wouldve maxed out her affection with three games of darts.

I’m in the midgame and my strongest attack, by far, is throwing thumbtacks at the enemies

Also probably one of the more satisfying at-tacks
