I actually enjoy Invisible War. The Omar are highly underrated characters. This was the first game I ever played with Havok Physics, and that blew my mind! The little spats between the coffee shop owners and helping those kids out in that school stand out to me for some reason.

I booted it up for the first time in a while and laughed at myself when I saw a lot of similar screenshots from kamuidrome in my Steam folder. It’s awesome trawling through those 1999 BBS posts and chat rooms and you get that lain/ episode 8-feeling of the posters on the hunt for/idolizing a malicious deity figure in between the grainy voyeur videos of a model they’re perving on.

i just started Lain last night and the “W E I R D , LAYER ZERO-ONE” text-to-speech and the UI for her Navi instantly triggered memories of Kamuidrome and Killer7.

Nope.
Monster Rancher 2. There’s something like 391 regular monsters and then a few Enemy/Rare monsters putting it up into the 400s.
