Boy at the time I didn’t think much of it, but I love the art direction in Doom 3 now. I guess it’s old enough to have moved into ‘aesthetic’ for me.

My biggest problem visually with Doom 3 was and is how plastic everything looked, something that plagued many games for a while and still seems to rear it’s ugly head at times.

Yes, it’s a matte-plastic look where UE3 games a couple of years later had a sort of high-gloss plastic sheen

I kinda dig the “The 9800GT is the best video card on the market” plastic look these days.
