also keita takahashi is just kind of a dick at parties, he pretended not to know english when I tried to talk to him and poked pendleton wards tummy over and over and over and kept calling him santa. I think heās just a rude drunk IMO
a videogame thing I think about a lot is the GDC year that kojimas business cards were metal and looked like RAZOR BLADES. this was in the peak of business card collecting and creating for indie devs and people who wanted to hang out with them, I thought it was kinda sweet that kojima made an effort cuz he wanted to trade

a lot of post-apocalyptic stuff is pro-natalist out of necessity. I am about as predisposed to be skeptical of this stuff as a person can be and I canāt say that it bothered me in death stranding (children of men is probably the highest water mark there obv)

Right. I guess itās not just that, but also Kojima saying that Covid lockdowns heavily influenced DS2 and flaunting his reading of right wing authors. Itās just a feeling but I sort of suspect DS2 will be the game in which Kojima most reveals himself as a boomer.

It looks stunningly beautiful but entirely vacuous, continuing the trend of Kojima getting better at game craft and worse at storytelling that has been steadily underway since Metal Gear Solid 3.
