Circuit City on the Edge of Forever

no, this is how I trust products

knockoffs and fakes will just have nice looking fonts

the company that took the time, money and energy to get properly certified will proudly slap on someone’s graphic design fever dream in as big a version as possible

They should shove the AirTag technology into the PowerBeat Pros, since those are already kind of bulky. I’d totally just upgrade my iPhone to another iPhone and get PowerBeat Pros over the WF-1000XM4s if it had some built-in technology to find them if I misplace them or something. When I worked at Starbucks, people were always leaving their wireless Apple headphones behind.

Cooler Master is making the NR200 in four colors now:

whoops I missed the window to hop off insider and now I’m either stuck in the dev channel where there’s no hardware requirements or I do a fresh Windows 10 install

my taskbar is still drawing a different color in the dock area

good launch for me so far

i don’t think you should be able to use the word colorway if you are making stuff that is only one color.

The voiceover is hilariously condescending, like, I can’t tell if the part explaining ESD was a bit.

ok but what do you reckon the odds are on it actually coming back from that treatment

I find their total detachment from normal consumer electronics design goals delightful. You just know they have sick and twisted custom keyboards with PSP nubs for vim and a trackpoint instead of a mouse wheel.

Lily58 with PSP stick

I admit I made up the mouse with a trackpoint because the idea of a pointer device on the mouse sounded funny. I do know of this mouse with a four-way directional switch in lieu of wheel, though.

It’s just a shame this Sanwa masterpiece never hit retail.

aren’t… all buttons 3D?

Not even fazed by the stick/dpad in light of that

i need a good, solid mouse. i’ve been using a logitech vertical mouse for a bit and it just feels so cheap to me for what it cost. the middle button has plastic squeak when i push it in. guh.

I use my mouse mostly for 3D modeling. I don’t need a ton of buttons or anything, I’d prefer something with exceptional build quality and that feels a bit weighty.

I hate that mouse, too! I posted a teardown here if you want to see exactly why it feels bad.

Is the Logitech vertical precise enough for your work, as in the sensor? The top-line choice in the mice decision tree is whether you want a “gaming” optical sensor or one designed for tracking on anything.

I think so? but what infuriates me about the mouse is that sometimes i click a little hard, and it moves ever so slightly to the left, which often messes me up. the only good thing about it is the battery life.

I don’t game with a mouse at all, so probably don’t need fancy gaming features.

That’s great insight, actually! That jitter can be caused by the sensor and isn’t exactly helped by the shape of the MX Vertical.

Are you on a Mac or Windows?

oh, windows!

I have a mouse I tried and missed the return window on I think you might like. I’ll shoot you a DM later. Razer Pro Click - has a “gaming” sensor but the design is Humanscale and very comfortable.
