Chamber of Sacred Ootheca - The Metal Thread

give him time, if dad’s listening to metallica he’ll always have some appreciation for it regardless of however his own tastes develop. i can attest, i always like hearing phil collins and def leppard because of my own dad.

if you make us do it i’m gonna merge it with the metal thread

i ain’t about to make anybody to anything, but i did not know this was a thing already and i would not at all mind having my thread merged into this one if it means our posts are preserved!

edit: one caveat! let’s try not to post sketchy fascist metal, or at least be very clear about it whenever stuff like that is mentioned or shared. i know it’s like super easy to casually mention mayhem or whatever, but… yeah.

p.s. this is a good twitter to follow:

There’s a metal thread in Input that mods could possibly merge this topic into, if desired

It’s cool, I got to see ND with Municipal Waste last year and it was dynamite.

I skipped that tour and I can’t remember why. :frowning:

I rarely listen to metal anymore, but every so often I end up listening to the local college metal station and ended up digging this song (plus it ended up having an okayish video):

who likes melodic death metal

i haven’t explored the genre very thoroughly, but found myself really getting into this group a couple years back. their first album bore a lot of potential but was a bit too upfront and showoffy to really take me anywhere. so i’m glad they went all in on atmosphere this time

(it’s symphonic technical death metal)

also Igorrr is still awesome as usual (multi-genre, started off mostly rooted in electronic/breakcore, but has leaned much more into the guitars over time). this is easily the highlight of the new album:

i think they’re my top artist on last.fm still
been listening since middle school
will prob love them forever
