Yeah I’ve had to do this exact technique for Vorbis when he went through a brief period of vomiting for no reason. Anti emetic pill + syringe feeding a cat. He has never looked so undignified
Your cat is named after an open source audio codec?
did you make him say “ogg”
My cat is named after the villain of a Discworld novel, which the audio codec is also named after
When my cat was prescribed daily pills years ago, I knew it was hopeless but I tried it for a few days. Not once did he swallow a pill despite proper technique, and each time he became so angry that he foamed at the mouth. (I didn’t know that was a thing cats did.)
The vet then mentioned that medicine can be administered by way of ear lotion. That’s more expensive and less effective but the alternative in this case was no medicine at all. I have been applying his medicine in this way every day now for quite a few years.
Whether it’s that medicine or just luck, he has lived much longer than several vets have estimated he would in the past. (A specialist once gave him no more than a few months, and that was five or six years ago.)

19-year-old cat who no longer goes outside unsupervised because he is slow and probably deaf decided to leave while I was bringing in the groceries this morning. It took me several minutes to discover that he had gone under a fence to drink from a drainage canal.
The paint can he is walking past has probably been there longer than he has been alive. I should probably go back there and get it one day.
why would anyone interrupt their meal?!
The context for this one is so much better with the nice instagram bowl.
