i guess gkids was so successful at the releases of boy and the heron and godzilla minus one that toho simply just bought them outright
AIKOQUEST
this is one of my favorite episodes so far
Yes, ok. Give it to me.
give us that bush era juice, anime daddy
There’s a ton to like about the 2017 DuckTales, but getting Russi Taylor back to play kid Donald, and finding out that she’s still just as good at doing the Huey, Dewey, and Louie voice, may be my favorite thing about it so far.
ETA: Just finished the Della Duck moon episode. The DEBT this show owes the NES game.
unafraid of the unknown /
because I’ll spend it /
all / with / you
it’s so good and so sweet. incredibly unusual for anything to hit me the way it did
hey does anyone know an OVA where the villain’s henchman is a woman who thinks she’s a cat? old mate is trying to remember it from back in the day. aired on ‘SBS’ for any aussies
‘tokyo’ or ‘cyber’ in the name apparently? extremely violent
Forgot that it’s been a week or so since the last episode of Uzumaki aired. They blitz through the last arc of the manga in a hurry, this time with slightly better animation (it’s the studio from the first episode again).
“Slightly” being the key word there - there’s a bit where a spiraled up person knocks Shuichi into the abyss under the town, and it’s animated with all the love and care of a Clutch Cargo episode (it seriously looks like they just took the drawing from the manga and then motion tweened it).
Anyway, what a waste. That first episode was alright, at least.
I think Goku Midnight Eye was on
SBS, although it’s a motorcycle henchwoman rather than a cat.
Dunno if Genocyber was on that channel, but i also don’t think it had any cat ladies
The only thing that jumps to mind which seems like it should have Tokyo or Cyber in the title is Dominion Tank Police which has these henchladies
this woman looked completely human except for some claws apparently. but gallant effort nonetheless! i feel like i’ve seen posts about this one about before?
dandadan looks amazing but the first episode has a SA scene through the male gaze that makes it impossible to recommend. made my skin crawl
it’s a shame because mob psycho but reigen is a mean girl is a great premise
ohh yeah I need to watch that
had a look at the new ranma, but i don’t really see the appeal over the original show
that stated I immediately started thinking about how one might adapt the story as something way drier and stranger
the begining of dandadan is aggressively misogynistic. for what it’s worth it does gets better as it goes on, in my experience keeping up with the manga. really complicated to recommend though, i agree.
Looking up things that aired on SBS it is possibly one of the bubblegum crisis spinoffs, parasite dolls features a murderous robot disguised as a cat, bgc tokyo 2040 is a full tv series that I never finished watching but I would not be surprised if it featured the character you described
