so how’s about them leaked steven universe sketches eh
Too Many Losing Heroines! is my new favorite
I like Rebecca Sugar and look forward to whatever they decide to work on next.
ive seen a couple people reference this now but google is failing me, what are we talking about here
…huh.
he’s still around he worked on a doom patrol run with gerhard way four years ago and is releasing some stuff and has twins now. we reconnected about a year ago and I talk to him every day. him and Rebecca sugar were never close we were just all on livejournal at the same time
we’ve talked about him getting cancelled as personal friends and that’s, like I said personal. he’s definitely making strides in being able to BE a friend, I enjoy his company a lot more now thst I’m less of an asshole
there’s also a set where sadie and amethyst are in a toxic relationship where saide will only have sex with amethyst if she shapeshifts into lars
fascinated that the new everybody hates chris cartoon picks up directly after the finale like it’s literally just a new season of the show. although now there is a talking graffiti for him to confide in
Where are these sourced from?
i’ve just seen them being posted around on twitter, i don’t know where they originally came from
i’m baffled at how corny the music is in steven universe given “i’m just your problem” and “everything stays”
“stronger than you” is a lin manuel miranda character song over “just the two of us” and steven’s song in the next episode sounds like rivers cuomo fronting the red hot chili peppers
the music was why i stopped watching lmao
First episode of Uzumaki was great. I haven’t read the book but I feel like I have to now.
This is exactly why I tell people not to sleep on the BGM. They are easier to listen to and better designed than the vocal songs which are bad at trying to be Disney.
.i really like the cheesy vocal songs in steben vniverse lol. But i agree on not sleeping on the BGM its so catchy & pretty and uses leitmotif incredibly
there are a few all time rebecca sugar bangers in some of the later seasons imooooo… but probably also fair enough that their best work is in adventure time
i stilll like a lot of things about su despite it being cheesy and messy. im just like… holds up peridot i just think she’s neat ok
I revisited it a bit recently and my response was “oh jeeze this is still pretty great, I think I was too harsh on this at the time”. I’m happy to take a couple shlocky songs with all the good stuff like characterization and world building.
Especially in the specific context of being a kids show.
