I found myself really enjoying Fionna and Cake too. It is very Adventure Time, but aimed at a slightly older audience in the way AT felt like was trying to be.
Not afraid to be weird and goofy, somehow not annoying. Having a good time with it.

the dragon prince continues to be baffling in new ways every season
in one episode of this one they had like an extremely on the nose twin peaks homage sequence with absolutely no attempt to explain why any of it was happening?
very strange show
Futuramaās Hulu revival started weak and feels very slow and tired especially since Billy West is 71 now but it has been gradually making me smile more in recent episodes
Hermes seems to be getting more good lines than i remember in the past
like one in six jokes are actually pretty good!
i still would never choose to watch it myself but
half the time iām waiting for closure like āwas that the jokeā¦? i guess that was the joke, alright next oneā
this show pulled off my favourite joke in TV history which i only found by dumpster diving well past its peak, so iām still inclined to give it a fair shake
btw my favourite simpsons episode is S15E18
Watched season 1 of Undead Murder Farce (aka Undead Girl Murder Farce), and came away pretty lukewarm about it. It is a Sherlock-style show where they solve supernatural mysteries in a Sherlock style, and I really donāt like Sherlock-style mysteries, but, I do like the supernatural stuff?
The show takes place in a pretty fun alternate 1890ās England and Japan, where yokai and western monsters are all real and populous, and there was a āgreat cullingā recently to reduce their populations. Now different groups are looking to capture them for their abilities. The show follows a half-oni, a combat butler and a rokurokubi as investigators.
Not sure if Iāll keep at it with season 2, considering it really dug into the Sherlock stuff at the end. Weāll see.
The intro and ed themes are good:
been watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. getting pretty near the end, i think iām on episode 50 or something like that. this show has made me cry so many times. i keep being like āalright, iām good nowā and then it makes me cry again!!!
good show. i really enjoy when there are two characters that are functionally one character (chimera duos Darius + Henkel and Jerso + Zampano both function this way).
ps FUCK VIC MIGNOGNA, stupid piece of shit
This has probably been the stand out new show for me this season mostly in style and direction. The first few who dunnits where amusing enough to follow along but mostly fell short of actually good Detective Conan capers. The last half has been fun literature nerd fanfiction. It probably needs an actual localization budget to make the word play work but I appreciate the attempts.
Didnāt this movie intentionally have no marketing around it in Japan? Unsurprising that theyāre not going that classy route in the US.
Iām super excited though, looks like a December 8th release in the US!
going to try my damnedest to find out very little about this movie in the next 3 months
This looks incredible, this might actually get me into a theater.
fuck that looks cool. I didnt know how much i needed a surreal horrorish Miyazaki Ghibli. (i guess parts of Spirited Away and Mononoke are kinda that, and effectively so)
Glad to see the musical titles continue.
i mean this was apparently the more accurate translation of Symphony of the Night right?
in some seriousness, has there been a better dub job in anime ever than the first netflix castlevania show?
i mean castlevania is an american show so the reason it works well is because it is not a dub
oh i am aware i just wondered if there is something that nailed it despite not enjoying that considerable advantage
