i like nimona (character) but i don’t think i like nimona (feature film). it’s so abridged they need several montages to glue it together and the charming-in-webcomic disparate styles don’t gel when actualized on screen

i really like the last act but it’s sharing 99 precious minutes with dull palace intrigue

i’m curious how kids like it/if it’ll get them to pick up the graphic novel

I started rewatching Reboot. Some friends and I were reminiscing about various kid’s shows from the 90s and I realised that, while Reboot is a very prominent show in my memory actually don’t remember any of the characters names or what the show’s premise is. I think because I watched it like age 5-7? I think that visual style just stood out. That and one of my earliest memories is trying to send away for a Reboot themed facecase toy through a cereal coupon promotional deal.

Watching it again and I’m a Reboot enjoyer. The style seems really well curated given the limitations and I’m often thrown by the mixture of sci-fi and traditional cartoon sound design. Megabyte’s voice is so saucy. I do wish Phong wasn’t such a racial stereotype though.
