yeah, i loved light when i was an edgy teen, but then i grew up and was like ’ wtf lmao '. the l x light fandom was real big, i remember well. i was more of a matt x mello person tho.
death note was def my fav shonen jump comic as a child it was just so transparently the one most written and designed for shippers imo
To say something beyond the “hey, Light is terrible right?” thing I found it to be a fascinating choice to have at the mid-point of each episode a set of rules for the Death Note that quite often have no connection to anything that has happened on the show at any point. It clearly feels like the show was written by people who knew that fans were gonna have a million theoretical questions about it and wanted to get as far ahead of it as possible and I respect the hustle.
Also why would anyone ship L, dude was creepy AF >_>
I checked out Heavenly Delusion based on this and I absolutely love it. Best anime I’ve seen in a while.
I love how this show looks, too, it’s gorgeous.
yeah, i watched a teaser and a trailer and heavenly delusion looks p good.
will be watching after i start g-witch again.
slowly making my way through a re-watch of utena and it’s wild how much i relate to characters i thought i never would before. this show is an all-timer and i wish it could just stay funny and only slightly fucked up instead of going completely batshit like it does later. not sure if i’m in the mood to be emotionally devastated again but maybe this time, since i know what’s coming i’ll handle it better.
really wanna watch record of lodoss war since i have been obsessed with the visual style and setting for ages. looking forward to it soon!
sometimes i’m into L’s aesthetic and other times i’m like “jesus christ why does he have a face like a frog”
what struck me most about the art style was the author really liked drawing men’s shoulders
me whenever i accept a request on facebook
I finished Death Note today, which was a surprise for me as I seemingly miscounted the number of episodes (or more likely forgot the correct count) so I thought there were two more episodes to come instead of it being the final episode. It was a lucky break as I did not expect everything to fall apart here, I figured he’d escape but in a way that left a loose thread that’s lead directly to the end game. Instead I probably got more tension out of the ep than anyone else did, biting on every possible tease that he might get out and enjoying every single time he did not. Matsuda shooting him through the fucking hand after being the one all show most likely to buy into his BS was my personal highlight of the episode.
But yeah, though there were a couple things I’d liked to have seen addressed (if they make it public and the aftermath, Misa feels like a legit narrative loose end) I enjoyed the finale a good deal.
Wow, looks great! Also… Music by Yasunori Mitsuda!? Cool.
Somehow I missed that there’s a Gremlins cartoon in the works
wild that Seth Rogen has significant creative control over both Ninja Turtles and Darkwing Duck, the two things that mattered most to me in the world when I was 8
i think he’s one of those guys like eddie murphy who got started so young you always forget how old he actually is. he is basically my age but it seems like he’s been famous since i was a child
by which i mean those things probably mattered a lot to him when he was 8 too
what is even airing this season besides g witch my mind is preoccupied with suletta
