Prince of Stride is bad but I wish Stride (competitive parkour relay races, with a bit of a twist) was a real thing so I hope maybe this show encourages people to just rip off the idea wholesale?

Everyone at Seiga Academy gets a computer apparently. And also everyone owns Vitas to play PSO2 on. These kids’ lives almost completely revolve around PSO2. If the show was still running come April, I’d bet money they’d have people playing it on not-PS4s as well.

I wasn’t quite sold on it at first, but now I’m all in on the best use of 3DCG in modern anime.
All someone had to do to make CG look natural in an anime was have it never move and be something really simple for 3D to accomplish. And in spite of the lack of animation on the busts, they manage to have fantastic reactions to everything.

Witch Precure ep 1 was excellent. New character designs are good, and I’m hella into the theme, now’s to hoping that Princess wasn’t a fluke good series and they can keep it up this year.
Osomatsu-san did a Wacky Races episode today and had crazy animation and tons of stupid gags and was great and the show has finally ascended to the status of “cartoon”
Why can’t all the other cartoons be this funny

I thought Sekko Boys just used photos of real busts. It never occurred to me it could be 3d, and how much easier that’d be. I’ve only seen 2 episodes though.
Also yeah, Osomatsu is probably the best anime of this season. Genuinely entertaining. My favorite is the painful blue brother.
Osomatsu is great but somewhat hurtful because I am 1 but have everyone’s issues
i dropped schwarzesmarken after a couple of episodes because what looked like a violent mecha cartoon was actually an awful little sister bullshit cartoon in disguise

I’m still watching PSO2. I hate myself. The Sega reference from last week was nicknaming the character Aika by calling her Ai Ai. The game PSO2 is real life for her and they aren’t doing a very good job of foreshadowing this subtly. Both the male and female lead have PSO characters that look exactly like them. Female lead (who is also the class pres (who made the male lead the vice pres (who was made the vice pres to defend PSO2 from school admins, really))) solos in PSO2 because she got forgotten in a game of hide and seek and we know this because anime flashback. Did I mention everyone owns a Vita
Active Raid had an episode about giant robots and how they’ve died and had Obari doing key animation for a scene of giant robots (with lips!) doing action (which was hilarious since they had been depicted with CG up until that point) and it was awesome. It’s becoming a bit of a surprise great show for the season.
Yeah, the latest Active Raid was basically made for me, and is currently the highlight of what has been a real good show so far.
I also look forward to the next episode to see if we finally see Haruka’s willwear, or they dedicate themselves to make a running gag of Haruka preparing to but never actually suiting up, since they’ve done it like twice now. Active Raid is the kind of show that I can see it going either way.
I will drop Active Raid if her Willwear isn’t a train or other form of public transit
My roomie showed me the first episode of Osumatsu-san today and i adored it. You can’t pile up metafiction on metafiction like that and fail to hook me.
Last episode of Gravity Falls airs tonight. It occurred to me today that it’s the first TV show i’ve ever watched as it aired, from the first episode to the last. Dang. I’m as excited as i am oddly mournful.
