Skeletor goes a really, really, really long way to making it worth watching, IMO.
(I’m a latecomer who finds the original to be incredible weird camp in the best way)

the beastman-skeletor CKY rap from the 2000s is, in addition to being very homophobic, one of the first extremely crass/creative parodies of a children’s show that I remember encountering, like they really went for it
and skeletor really is, like, the grandfather of all lovably incompetent cartoon villains

Yeah Skeletor is a great character just visually. I’d rather watch a show about him than He-Man and the rest of them.

the last adventure time distant lands does not come close to the emotional depth of the other ones but it’s just “a decent long episode of adventure time” which isn’t like a bad thing
would be neat if the fionna and cake spinoff series finds an interesting angle on things but distant lands did such a good job of ending things i don’t really feel the need for more
i guess i feel the same way about all these new “avatar universe” shows nickelodeon is threatening. like they will probably be fun but…eh

lupin 6 trailer is out. kiyoshi kobayashi has retired from the jigen role and akio otsuka is the new voice which is like…obvious but good
wondering if sherlock holmes here will be sherlock the iii and if they’ll do the classic herlock switch for the english dub
