I just kind of assumed this back button attachment was really just so you could use your DS4 on the PS5.

I read this announcement right when I woke up and got confused, thinking they were going to make the share button a functional button (like Xbox’s “back”).

Just a big SELECT Button that you clip on through the microphone hole and doesn’t actually do anything.

the usb port is shit on every ds4 i have so i assume this is going to keep disconnecting. idk maybe connecting it to the headphone socket as well will stop that happening.
i think the undercarriage expansion slot it plugs into is different? i haven’t used the ds4 nearly enough to compare but if my similar experiences with the xbone controller are equivalent, the problem is probably that the micro usb standard sucks. newer cables from the better manufacturers use a different locking mechanism (raised triangles in place of flimsy little clips that break more reliably than they stick)

Yeah, there’s an auxillary port next to the headphone jack on the bottom. I most often see it used for charging docks.

Idk I sorta like the add-on approach? I’d get one for my Xbone controller if they made one, rather than shell out for a crazy hyper-controller.

i got this one (its ATOMIC PURPLE thank you very much) with pokemon gold at best buy in 2000. the bundle came in one of those huge fucking clamshell things that was impossible to open with your bare hands. that, watching stone cold pin the rock at wrestlemania 17, and 9/11 are like the only things i remember very clearly pre-2002
