depends on which Syndicate game you’re talking about. The original had three booster drugs that your agents progressively grew immune to, but you could get them into withdrawal during downtime so their tolerance levels would go back down but they’d be all sluggish.
Which sounds nothing like what you’re talking about so I guess you’re thinking of the FPS?

Another fun Phoenix Point bit, the item inventory system is hilariously broken such that equipping items just plain won’t work a certain percentage of the time; however, you can exchange items between teams in different parts of the world/while they’re on planes, etc. so that you really only need one set of optimum equipment that you then swap between your various mission-going teams.
