Iāve been very restrained at putting forth a positive vision because I think of the world mostly as something that should just be allowed to happen, but things that would be cool are:
- Vast fleets of airships delivering cargo by onboard drone dispatch
- Shinkansen everywhere
- Seastead worthy solar powered individual ships that can modularly connect to form temporary cities
- Mars and venus settled for synthetic life and AI (tourism for biological life allowed but discouraged due to health and safety issues)
- Rocket based delivery for medicine and essentials in disaster situations
- Normalization of two wheeled motorized vehicles, akin to the level of scooter saturation in southeast asia. Exceptionalization of cars.
- Walk-in clinics for morphological changes including of sex, race, and species
- Fully immersive VR diplomacy and tourism with simulated worlds reified from fiction
- Remote tourism via networked synthetic bodies
- Deathless society via nanomachine saturation

- Undersea cities
- Normalization of relations with Cetaceans and Corvids (and elephants)
- Fusion, solar, and hydrogen based energy economy. Green hydrogen based rockets only to allow environmentally sustainable space capacity.
- Use nanomachines to build cities in days
- Representative AI governance as the default and overwhelming norm
- Open source software as the default and overwhelming norm
- Normalization of cybernetic enhancement
- Universal open borders (but only open; a border does too much right now, and too much of what it does is evil, but I think a pared down version of a border could be useful for coordination and political settlement)
- We should do something to make guns cooler but also less dangerous. Iām thinking that could dovetail with nanomachines to produce effective non-lethal weapons like paralysis guns or guns that automatically deconstitute and upload a personās mind
Insane shit that I sort of want but would have to be in a āfuck the world moodā to actually try to get:
- Morphological alteration weapons (forcibly change peopleās species or sex)
- Bringing non-intelligent apex predator dragons into the world as biological creatures
- Using nanomachines to enforce just-in-time borders by paralyzing individual muscles or muscle groups in an area of effect
- Nanomachine based AI assistant in everyoneās head
- Engineering predation entirely out of all animals including humans; making meat trees or something
- The government of your country is now just the good guys from whatever the most idealistic fiction of your culture is, in AI form
- Irreversible uploads (for BDSM purposes, not for causing actual harm purposes)
