I’m so hyped for VI I started playing Nexus yesterday. This is my first time playing it, but I’ve already beaten Silent Line and Last Raven, which I think are the preceding and succeeding games. I just never got around to Nexus.
If my thirst still isn’t sated after Nexus, I’ll either dip back into Ninebreaker or For Answer. God I love For Answer.
yeah this really helped out. having a fast turn extension + a better FCS made tracking way easier.
i started the game using a laser rifle because i figured saving ammo money on missions was a good investment, but i’ve switched to machine guns and it’s nuts how you can just dominate the arena with it.
throughly enjoying the game at this point. it has the same qualities of ace combat where you’re thinking of small narratives within the story and gameplay segments and it’s all so charming
beat armored core 3. the final mission is surprisingly easy and has one of my favorite things which is fighting two ACs at once. fantastic game.
i considered getting the OP-INTENSIFY addon but i have other games i want to play atm. the next one in the series i wanna check is silent line, i’ll try it at some point in january i think before going to AC4 and 4A
I’m on the last mission of Nexus. I have some mixed feelings about this game. Mostly the fact that it is a pain to reload if you fail a mission and want to retry. I guess that is the game actively discouraging doing this, but I don’t remember Last Raven or Silent Line(psp version) being this way.
I am looking forward to the 2nd disc of Nexus once I finally beat Nineball. I hope that retrying is quicker there.
After that, I may dip into AC3 next. I hear it is one of the better ones. I’ll have to adjust to the old-style controls though. When I played Silent Line I played it on the vita with controls remapped to the sticks.
Finished Nexus disc 1 but got bored with disc 2. So I moved on to AC4 on ps3. I beat this back in the day but have since lost my saves, which means I’m stuck with regulations 1.00 since the US servers are down. Not really a problem since I don’t plan on playing multi.
Anyway, I flew through AC4 on normal and am doing the hard mode missions now. Some of these are actually pretty hard! I mostly just want to get enough FRS points so I can use all the enemy schematics. I’m not sure how many FRS points I actually need but I’ve got 271 of 300. You need to S rank a hard mission to earn a single FRS point, so this will be difficult if I need all 300.
but yeah this like artist / modeler kow yokoyama did this series of photographs for a front mission art book (front mission in huffman) alongside yoshitaka amano
idk if i’ve posted these before but i’m very fond of this aesthetic… actually i would really love to know if there is maybe a subgenre of ppl posing kits in kind of like cinematic scenes or dioramas like these
I’ve had a hard time getting as excited about this game as I think I should be ever since they said it wouldn’t have any multiplayer (except some vs arena)
oh there’s no multiplayer outside of arena? that’s a bummer, one of the things i was most excited about was from being able to leverage how popular all their games were to actually get enough people to play ac6 that it would make their weird multiplayer game schemes work
acvd seemed like it would be fantastic to play multiplayer if anyone actually played it
