Add Elgin marble-style repatriation discussion to animal crossing.txt

Especially since it seems we’re on some kind of hobby lobby style thing with buying artifacts from a pirate.

I thought Reese and Cyrus were already married, yet it appears they have been living in sin all this time

It could be a whole, “Isabelle married us at the courthouse in the city when we were young and broke” sort of thing? Renewing their vows, destination wedding style.

EDIT: The preview video actually calls this out—Harv says they wanna get anniversary photos done, complete with sets.

This is what my now mother-in-law called it…

Does anyone know if there’s an effective way to hunt for specific villagers once you’ve reached 10 on your island? I read some stuff online about how you can go island hopping to find villagers, but now that my island is maxed out, I haven’t seen any. I assumed it would be like something else I read online, where when you get a camper, you can convince them to stay and take the place of another villager who will then move out.

Of course, at least half the stuff I have read and heard about AC has been complete garbage nonsense, so I don’t quite know what to think anymore. Does anyone have some confirmed info on how this all works?

my understanding is that it’s random unless you buy one of those amiibo spoof things & recruit them that way

The only way I’ve found to ensure which villager is going to move in is to:

  1. Get a plot of land from Nook
  2. Place the plot of land
  3. Immediately go to Nook ticket islands until you randomly find a villager you like.
  4. Ask them to move in.

If you take too long on steps 3 and 4, then you’ll get a random villager. You probably have to find someone that same day that you place the plot of land.

If you already have the full supply of villagers then I don’t know how it works at that point.

Crap. Wish I had known that. Guess I’m stuck waiting for villagers to show up via campsite

I guess I can also start doing the whole bit where I ignore a villager till they leave, and then immediately do island hopping.
