I’m still using pandora because I’ve been using it for nearly 20 years at this point and they decided to not do a yearly stat round-up. I had a real moment when I found out about it. You expect me to REMEMBER what I like? Grow up

I promised myself I would at least listen to one song from every single thing posted here and so far I’ve made it to the 4th post. The hard part is that all of this stuff absolutely rules (and a lot of it is also to my taste) so now I need to dig into the actual albums. So this is gonna take me a while.

Wanted to add a 2022-released album that I just heard a week or so ago though:

Really been enjoying this. I would say it has Dreamcast vibes, but mostly because it’s reminding me of PSO. Officially it’s music inspired by the PS1. Regardless, I highly recommend it.

2022 was a weird music year for me because of brain stuff. i listened to way less new music than i usually do and spent a lot of time listening to old favs

still i heard a few great things from this year

transcendent, gay gay gay gay disco about finding joy + pleasure in the face of annihilation. felt like a lifeline. une fois de plus, nos démarches nous conduisent dans la forêt et dans la nuit à la recherche de la joie devant la mort.

electronic body hell. sad queer isolation tracks. maybe the tonal opposite of the SPT record haha

octo octa and her partner eris’s sets bring me so much joy. this one has been back in rotation lately since it’s basically a hour long blast of sunshine.
