Wow, I haven’t thought about this for a long time. Gemstone is so cool. I started with Gemstone III on GEnie back when you were charged per hour and I could only play like 4-5 hours a month.

I can sort of see the point of having a time limit as it lets people who are honestly apologetic about a possibly ignorant stance return to a community. And so far anecdotally, no actual shithead I have ever seen has been able to hide their true beliefs for long.
It still does mean GDQ has to enforce this no-shit-or-you’re-shat policy 100% for quite some time before I’m fully convinced they’re committed, due to their wishy-washy handling from before.
