i had kind of hoped that after the crayon shin-chan one they would keep making these licensed games with increasingly implausible franchises, like yeah you could probably do a sazae san or atashin’chi one no problem, and then doraemon wouldn’t be that much of a stretch either (they already did the farming sim), then the conan one would seem logical at first but end up being totally bizarre, and then after that the floodgates would be open and you’d be spending your summer vacation with naruto or ultraman or something

It’s cool that Kaz Ayabe gets to continue making these games even though Bokunatsu is in Sony Jail but I’m hoping one of these days he’ll finally do the game he spoke about like a decade ago where it would be about a girl’s winter vacation.

I feel like I’ve seen other games bite the aesthetic too
yeah it rules although i’ve never finished it. battles take forever but i love the act of battling more than most RPGs and many are avoidable anyway. i’ve taken four runs at this game and had problems one way or another before finishing it, like losing save data and whatnot. its a curse but
this is gonna be the one i finish
