Chained Echoes is out now, and I’ve seen some very positive reviews already. I’m getting this for sure, but want to finish up a few games first.

So two random games that popped up on Steam today.

The first is Surrealidade, which is apparently a surreal 3d adventure game released independently in Brazil in 1999 that was translated and remastered for current release. I actually can’t find proof that is true and people love their whole “we’re making a new game but pretending it was actually lost decades ago” deal, but I think it might actually be. Anyways it had some neat screenshots that I’ll share here, to be polite I’ll skip the ones with nudity.

The other is Dance Fight, which is probably terrible but whose store video I legit find striking with the oddly animated polygonal 2d dance fighting in front of video backgrounds of real life dancing.

the name “surrealidade” is way too on-the-nose for it to be genuine.

looks cool though.

looks cool imo. seems to have a very different vibe from the first one.

Meanwhile I’m hopelessly CW-Pilled so I thought it was called Surrealdale

somehow, the thumbnail made me think this was gonna be a fantasy assualt suits-like

now i wonder why no-one’s made that

I’m pretty sure Surrealidade is just Portuguese for “Surreality,” which is as much a plausible title of a game 20 years ago as it is today.

Does it? It looks like the exact same game. Maybe there’s more to it than what the trailer shows since that’s just a showcase of the weakest parts of the first game: the cutscenes.

and idk, it doesn’t look like it’s set in new zealand? that’s a p different vibe off the bat.

I have wanted a game in the Mignola artstyle for years now but… god, this looks so accurate to the artstyle, but everything goes so fast in this trailer that it looks weightless and weird.

Hellboy and BPRD are about sitting alone in a crypt talking about your ex to a ghost lmao. Hellboy’s best attacks are all about winding up for what feels like a billion years and then punching a guy so hard he teleports across the room. This looks like something with combos, lol.

Lords of the Fallen is the sequel to Lords of the Fallen, right? This isn’t just an “next gen” update?

Correct. I think this is The Lords vs the old Lords.
