Seems like this is what GameSpot does now with Call of Duty: edit the whole batshit affair down to a manageable 70 minutes or so. This year’s outing is especially egregious even by its own standards.

there’s a modern warfare billboard near my apt with the slogan “THE ULTIMATE WEAPON IS TEAM” printed on it that makes me laugh every time. i wish i was in whatever meeting it was where they settled on that. guys “the ultimate weapon is teamwork” sounds like the gummi bears, how do we make it more like something an army guy would yell at you at one of those conferences where business execs pay $1500 to get screamed at for a day by someone who once dismembered a family of four in iraq. wait a sec… i’ve got it

it’s interesting to see it play out: like that people have an inherent sense now of how to stoke anger on the internet, but not enough personal insight into their own beliefs or about general public opinion to know how all of this will play out when they set that rube goldberg machine into motion

i’m really excited by the prospect of playing a Super Game before 2030
edit: although that graph shows earnings from the Super Game starting in like 2025??? maybe they will get money during the process of creating the Super Game, like sponsorship or star citizen (???)
