I’m going to put this right here because it’s like the thread where I just talk about the games I want despite maybe only really getting Persona 5. The list is just PS4 maybe PC releases because that’s what comes up on my radar, but it’s meant to be an inclusive list because holy fuck why exclude cool shit seriously. I’m sure I’m missing things, I will attempt to append this list with more games or “reviews” of games from the SB hivemind.
Resident Evil 7 - it’s surprisingly good esp in VR

Pathologic is…not easy to play when you don’t have energy. It’s probably the most intense game I’ve played, it requires maximum intellectual and emotional attention and it exhausts me.
Despite being a top 3 of all time for me I’ve never beaten it
i think my problem is that a game will either consume my life or ill bounce off it in ten minutes, and if i suspect the former ill be afraid to pick it up ever because these days i have a job and college and a tabletop campaign and an ambiguous number of romantic partners and anyway i spend most of my leisure time on my phone unwilling to get out of bed and mostly just trying not to cry from hormones
like uh the last time i played a game solo was nocturne and i was awake for like 30 hours straight and stopped mostly because a friend told me to, i am a master of self-destructive behavior
literally the only way I got myself to sit down and play my games recently was accidentally falling into a habit of waking up really early because of bad sleep schedules. time moves really slowly in the morning for me, and I actually had energy and the sun wasn’t going to go down on me, so I 100%'d Blaster Master Zero. go figure!
I played Pathologic for exactly one session and haven’t been able to go back to it. It might be the only game I’ve ever played that’s actually too good?!
A Super Robot Wars game came out this year, in well-written English, with Gundam and Mazingers and Getters, and it’s pretty good. And you can replace all the tracks in the game with the vocal versions, or with literally any other song you want to. After 25 years the prophecy has been fulfilled.
