Oh yeah definitely played 100 hours of Starcraft. I never played Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2 or uh…any RTS again so it was an outlier from my childhood.
You have to make so many decisions in an RTS!!

Yeah same basically! I got so into it that during one summer break I joined a clan on Battle.net and would do weekly training sessions and tournaments with other clans and things with them, and would pore over replays from pro Korean players I liked the style of and things like that. It required such a big time commitment to try to actually play well that I couldn’t really keep it up once school started again and I never again felt inclined to spend the ever-decreasing amount of free time I had after that on something like an intensive RTS. It was fun though.
Probably not exhaustive but the ones I could easily confirm or knew for sure. Roughly in chronological order of hitting the 100 hour mark. I tend not to replay single player games so I don’t usually hit 100 unless it’s multiplayer.

Just hit 100 hours in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth -_-
I’m thinking of games I played a lot when I was younger or have completed multiple times, such as Boulder Dash, Pokemon Puzzle League, Super Mario Bros. 1, 3, and World, and SoTN, but 100 hours is a lot and I don’t know that any of those games crossed that threshold.
And things like Rez that I’ve played through once or twice a year for decades but still probably don’t come close.
Dragon Warrior 7 will probably make the list when I finally revisit and finish it one day.
For sure:
Probably:
Now over 100 on Dark Souls III, nearing the end of the first playthrough.
i just added Tears of the Kingdom to my list recently. i’m probably over 150 already and haven’t completed any of the “dungeons” yet. most compelling game i’ve played since Death Stranding. TotK is incredibly flawed, but like… it doesn’t actually matter, lol.

Do you have any fav modules or does your playtime come from pw servers?
I played both NWN in the summer 2014 on an old laptop I don’t have anymore but I did play a good amount of mods. I remember a few modules with interesting stories and mechanics but I was just hungry for more combat akin to DA:O. I liked adding classes and abilities if I remember correctly.
I was working mostly on the weekends as a guitarist in cover bands and would do a bit of recording and rehearsals during the week but had a ton of free time. I think something about those battle mechanics helped clear my mind of all the ear worms of the songs I was working on.
