you know when i made this post i think i was thinking it was more like “100 hours played per session” which i took as 100 hours played and then put down eventually as i moved on to another game
i mean if we’re counting cumulatively over the years then i guess i can also throw stuff like mega man 2 and 3, smash bros 64 & melee, mario kart 64 & 8/Deluxe and sonic 3 on and off from like 8 years old to last week (i am 37)

If you count Doom, Doom II, and Final Doom as one game I’ve probably put in over 100 hours. If you separate them, maybe, maybe not.

I’m not positive I’ve put 100 hours into any of them. It’s mostly multiplayer games that are contenders where it seems likely I put in 100 hours. I have memories of mostly dedicating an entire summer to Hexen II multiplayer, so that one is very likely.
Only the Dooms, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Heroes of Might and Magic III were for the single player. HOMMIII is a very addictive game. I eventually stopped playing it not because I had gotten bored of it, but because I found I was playing it too much.
