10,000 Bulletins: No One Can Stop the Presses! (Part 1)

I hope Final Fantasy IX Remake is actually a Pixel Remaster.

Is there any particular reason people are taking the GeForce Now stuff as real instead of just junk data an Nvidia person filled in for whatever purpose? Is there a reason Nvidia would be aware of this many games this early in their development cycles and have them all in a list on GeForce Now?? Is Dolphin the gamecube emulator really coming to Steam?

No, but not having a good reason has never stopped anybody in the past.

Into ght you were gonna threaten the ban, at which point I was all ready to

ā€œā€¦face Felix and walk backwards into discord.ā€

But no this is sadder.

They will probably find some new way to fuck it up, but it might be easy to port your version in. Same workshop support?

No microphone support but this is surprising. It already seems weird that the other consoles don’t.

depending on how much bandwidth your bluetooth chip has, A2DP (which is what this is, it’s not a nice aptx implementation or anything) can actually compete with input devices, it makes sense that they’ve made it a conditional feature

I’d personally be hesitant to support it given that even expensive Bluetooth headphones (read: Bose) still use that shitty version that has serious latency. Like, half a second. It’s bad for games.

You’re probably right about adding it after the fact. I wonder how the official PS5 headset communicates. The new official Xbox headset uses their 2.4ghz RF with consoles/adapters or Bluetooth.

I was gonna crack wise about a new Pippin with Apple’s low latency Bluetooth but realized I definitely have an Xbox controller paired to an Apple TV I can use to play the nice version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

this might be a problem with the host and not the client – a2dp latency isn’t good but it should be more like 100ms than 500

aptx and out-of-spec unresampled airpod AAC are about half that

it’s more like 100 ms, you’re right. it turns out i just remember it as being far worse than it is because it feels like absolute shit.

This is very cool. Now I can hook my switch up to my monitor in tate and not have to use my current headphone out into amp into speaker setup.

imho the funnier thing about this system update is that the Switch now finally supports posting 280 character tweets (or so I’ve heard)

WipEout Rush is developed by Rogue Games, a studio set up by former IGN journalist and co-founder Matt Casamassina. IGN has the exclusive on the game’s reveal

It will feature ā€œunique card-based racingā€

Card-based to boot. I hate card systems that lack diegetic context. It’s like this was tailor made to wound me.
