Oh yeah IMO rather than use the actual likenesses of marvel actors, they should use the power of their imaginations to design people/faces that don’t look like Sears catalog models
Like every superhero game could theoretically look like into the spider-verse, or, if photorealism is the thing, they could make Dr Strange look like Vincent Price, or someone else with an interesting face, rather than a dude from Reseda modeling the “Unusual Magic Doctor” Halloween costume you buy at CVS
I’m really disappointed that we never got a character named Rancho Cucamonga during Square’s phase of naming characters after areas in California.
(eta: also, there was some FFVIII video i saw something like a decade+ ago where the guy kept saying Irvine as “Irving” and it made me cringe, but I guess if you’ve never heard of Irvine then it’s going to sound weird, like Tidus did).
i know this is probably not the case but it pleases me to think that my dumb free association riffing is not that dissimilar from a game company’s process of naming characters
Someone put together 7 old Rainbow Six releases (including a translation of a previous korea-only one) in a custom iso/total conversion that u can just download/install/run without anything else (including the game it’s using as a base), also has a bunch of bug/resolution/general remaster fixes.
PC gamer article seems like a little bit of a NARC move to me so maybe worth downloading while its still easy to do so if ur interested.
