There’s going to be a Return of Ark album with 7 tracks.
From Mikyoko Kobayashi (one of the composers on Terranigma):
“I was in charge of the music for Kamui’s exhibition, “Terranigma: The Return of Ark”. I’m grateful that he decided to make a CD for the exhibition. It’s been more than 25 years since the release of Terranigma and my heart trembles with joy to be able to compose against Kamui’s work once more and from the outpour of support from fans. I hope you enjoy the new music of Terranigma.”
Or something along those lines. Masanori Hikichi (the other composer that worked on Terranigma) is also involved, and made a twitter post, as well, but it’s just like, “I’m happy that I get to participate in the production of the CD and we hope fans of Terranigma will enjoy the songs we created based on Kamui’s illustrations.”
simple 2000 series vol 467: the angry brawling streets
that visual style is completely shameless but i also kinda wanna play it
maybe when it’s on sale or soemthing
his monkey face is just weird enough to not be grotesque, thats a buy for me
Still waiting for the Wu-Tang video game based on the Journey to the West and then the Water Margin. The Disciples to the Wu-Tang Sangzang Enter the Wu-Kong: The Great Rage and Heaven’s Sequel
Looks promising but just doesn’t have the friction of Sekiro or the tension of souls combat. Just looks a little mushy, but if they can tighten it up a bit then this could be really good?
Better realised dragon animation than any Souls game. Sound design and “weight” leave a lot to be desired though. The weird-gross designs are doing things for me though.
ah was just going to post about this
i have mixed feelings about continuing to mine journey to the west for stuff like this, but at least their take on it seems like… pretty different. just using the familiarity of the character and not much else. i feel like an earlier trailer explained this game’s connection to the novel a little more clearly, this one is pretty vague.
anyway looks like a kind of cool soulslike type thing. curious to see more.
IDK if this is the correct thread, but
The responsivity demands of a 3rd person brawler are really, really starting to run up against visual fidelity here.
loving the ‘we got our voice actors off fiverr’ aesthetic
Has anybody used Cameo to duplicitously get celebrity voice acting in their game?
Can a “2077like” even be a thing
I think this is kind of a “Wait, people wanted to love that game and they fucked it up in the public’s eye so there’s a huge audience that will go nuts for a level of perceived competence that we can get just by hyping ourselves less and basically delivering on it” kinda deal.
Forge I get but campaign co-op?
which part of poland does this game dev hail from?
My optimism isn’t dampened in the least but that in particular seems like a very hard call to delay and makes me all the more curious for the eventual post-mortem on the half decade development. Probably involves a lot of pressure on Microsoft’s end to have a notable exclusive out for their new platforms before year’s end.
