I get the impression this isnât their project really but enjoyed A Hat in Time enough that I wanna check out other Gears for Breakfast output. This one seems a bit too jokey to me idk. I canât really grasp what the game is here.

And that was before I saw the âwholesome games bannerâ.
Not to mention I donât think the Hat in Time people ever addressed the whole âwhy is Jontron in your game thingâ.
I donât like being Debbie downer butâŚyeah. Thereâs something a little cynical feeling about this to me and I actually like syrupy sweet nice times on occasion.

ugh, it probably is cynical as hell, but the cute animals and sounds and paper cutouts did trigger a smile throughout the thing (but also the nichijou reference), so good job, they got me

I honestly have no problem with a game branding itself as âwholesomeâ as its aesthetic. Unless this branding is some way for some known sex pest to hid their identity as they stay inside the industry, a hypothetical I only bring up because of how often this seems to happen, then I wish them nothing but the best.
