I gave my PS3 to someone who wanted to play Demon’s souls and I only miss Demon’s souls + Tokyo Jungle from that generation

I remember I had to read more emails than look at and take pictures of animals in the hour I played. It just made me think I should watch nature documentaries.

Pixeljunk Shooter is pretty solid even if I think it’s so stupid they settled on that name after holding a contest to name the thing. Let’s pour one out for Pixeljunk 3am, which now lies dormant and was ahead of its time.
Critter Crunch is one of my favorite head-to-head puzzle games ever, and the single player mode is alright too.
Shatter is available elsewhere but feels more at home on the PS3 for reasons I can’t articulate

Both of the PixelJunk Shooter games are great and I replay them every so often. I would have mentioned them and also Super Stardust HD if all three weren’t also available in fancier versions on PS4.
The PS3 version of Journey is actually the best one, right? I seem to remember that some of the visual effects didn’t carry forward.

The 5 vanilla AI is super cheap input reading, like 4/evo, except it’s a big sucker for throws even at high levels–so throw spam kind of ruins it / makes it beatable while still kind of ruining it. ^ D^
you can also play as the paddle from arkanoid in it

Was Anarchy Reigns released on anything else? There’s also Time Crisis 4 / Razing Storm.
I enjoy marveling at early ps3 games like Lair, Genji: Days of the Blade, NBA 07, and Motorstorm. There’s just something about these games that I like. I think it is their unique technical approaches to utilize the hardware before developers got too ambitious for their own good.
