“Still got a long way to go” like 14 and a half times in a row has become my mantra

it’s bananas to watch kink JUST do a DJ set! I’m surprised he hasn’t broken out the tr-8 just to riff along to stuff, I wonder if being such an animated live performer makes dj sets boring for him

(I have a song of the moment too)

just taking a quick break, will get back to work as soon as this track is over

not really into the whole lp sadly but good to hear this one again

i thought adam ant was the shit when i was a kid. adam ant had songs about being a dandy pirate, a dandy robber, a dandy spacedandy, a dandy cowboy, a dandy insect, et cetera.

i can’t remember the exact story, but adam ant and the monochrome set’s early years are intertwined in some way, and both of them wound up performing the same song:

The Monochrome Set rule, btw.

i can’t tell you how often “i’m dead and dank and rotten” goes through my head like an html marquee scrolling through my brain.

Blonde, brunette, or redhead, they all kiss the same in the mating game.

I don’t like this song except for the chorus. The portions outside of the chorus wound up being used for a song they did later called Jet Set Junta, which I’m always reminded of when I see Jet Set Radio.

Love the upbeat melody with the gospel-esque lyrics

Milk and Honey is a 90s-era song which isn’t their best period, but I love this one. It’s that driving acoustic guitar that kicks in coupled with the xanax vocals.

she’s so debonair

This song about the regret of spending money on fortune telling

They also had some fun instrumentals

i’m going to heaven

I love the opening strum

misty mystic swiss paladin?

A chunk of the lyrics from this are in Enochian (I want to say copied directly from something specific, the latin is also lifted from something)

I consider this the sequel song to eine syphone des grauns, but you’d only know why if you listened to both.

another 90s-era song, which is still pretty good but also completely different from their earlier stuff.

This is probably my absolute favorite and what got me into them. I love this goofy spaghetti western shit.

found a cool band randomly that i think some ppl here might dig

Just some Gorillaz but currently relaxing to this. The Elton John feat. kinda works.

i guess, but the title makes me pine for an Elton-John-centric Pink Panther sequel which I will never have. on an unrelated note, i’ve had this abomination stuck in my head all day

and now, so do you

this album will always be in my heart

Ever listen to a song because you think it’d be fun and then it turns out it’s connected to a time when you were super miserable and lonely and you can’t listen to it because you don’t wanna be crying at 6:56 AM? Anyway good song:
