Alright so, imagine this: you are the Main Character (MC) of your very own Role-Playing Game (RPG). Each day you prep yourself and/or your party, and you step out of the safe haven you share where there is rest & a save point. You have a difficult job to do, and you have to use all the resources you own and tactics youve learned to accomplish it. Along the way, you’re hopefully gonna gain experience in your job, and to do that you’ll have to maintain social links even with people you dont want to hang out with at all. You’ll need healing supplies and access to an inn to keep you going, and you’ll probably have to grind some money, which means you’ll need to revisit the same areas over and over again to fight the same enemies. i know all of this so far is completely foreign to our everyday lives but go with me
What is a hypothetical OST for the RPG that is your life?

this is such a fun idea. i challenged myself to have just one artist - it helps that their discography is like 75 albums or something. but uh yeah i think this is my vibe:
No pressure (at all of course, but especially not) to do a full playlist lol. ive been rolling this idea around in my head for awhile so i had a bunch of songs in mind. im still probably gonna edit my post with more as i think of them
yeah i just, have a hard time knowing the name of a song im listening to let alone think of a song off the top of my head that matches a mood. its my fault for always listening to my entire library on shuffle and skipping whatever i dont feel like listening to in the moment. im gonna try making a playlist as i listen to music while im doing other stuff
Limiting myself to one artist not because I have to but because I want to. Also it made it a lot easier to just look through my Patricia Taxxon collection.
I’ve been using Danny Baranowsky’s Crypt of the Necrodancer OST while playing Angband, which doesn’t have its own music:
I cut out the shopkeeper versions, which are just nutty vocals, and “The Wight to Remain,” which YouTube was unfortunately flagging as the FamilyJules’ remix version “A Shadow to Prevail,” which is not stream safe. : P
