what are the best martial arts films on netflix

There’s also a lot of the Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White direct to video action renaissance movies on there. Some are better than others but they’re all a better use of your time than watching like Iron Man 3 or some shit

fist of legend is on netflix watch fist of legend it rules

yeah skin trade, ninja 2, falcon rising all have fantastic fights

I saw this in the only theater in cleveland playing it, and it was worth it for the MJW big screen mid fight facial expressions alone. Dude makes the best “psh, please” faces when whooping on other dudes.

They made us recently attend a mandatory safety training at the jail even though we’ve all been to the jail approximately 1,000 times already and know how everything works. The little middle aged overly excited South Asian guy doing the presentation used a powerpoint. When he started talking about how you shouldn’t bring stuff in because anything can be made into a shiv he played this clip:

We all learned an important lesson that day. Don’t fuck with Michael Jai White

I’m sorry I pirate all your movies when they inevitably leak early Scott but when they’re on streaming I’m always sure to put them on in the background and let them run straight through a few times so you get your .07 OK plz don’t quadruple aerial roundhouse kick me into the milky way

I wish I could find Tsui Hark’s The Blade streaming… anywhere but I’ve had no luck.

One of my old faves as a kid is on yourtub though:

Yes both Come Drink with Me and A Touch of Zen are masterpieces

A Touch of Zen is a little better IMO

The show Marco Polo has pretty good fighting scenes. Interpersonal drama is it’s focus, but there’s at least one fight in every episode, incl. Marco Polo getting periodically destroyed by his blind martial arts teacher, with no “pupil beats his master” scene to be found. I love it.

there’s a special on netflix that’s just the origin story for that character and while i haven’t watched it yet it’s probably at least as good as the martial arts scenes in the main show

don’t leave out Dragon Inn! Indeed, while a Touch of Zen might be a rapturous epic, I’m pretty sure Dragon Inn is a straight up perfect movie, with not a single wasted moment.

i think five deadly venoms is on netflix? it’s really good. pretty good rule to follow is that the wu tang clan only really samples good kung fu movies.

bruce lee stuff is kinda junk but the big boss has a good soundtrack

Yeah Dragon Inn is great. I somehow lost my dvd of that so I haven’t seen it as many times as the other classic King Hu wuxia movies. Raining in the Mountain is underrated IMO. You can watch it here if you want but there isn’t much action in it.

Wait a sec–I just realized that this and Legend of the Mountain are actually different movies. I think I always thought Raining in the Mountain was just a weird english title for Legend of the Mountain (山中傳奇), I don’t know if I’ve actually seen Raining in the Mountain LOL maybe I will watch it now.

If you want the weirdest bootleg youtube experience imaginable, you can watch Legend of the Mountain here

or if you think dialogue is boring you can watch it without subs here
