it’s this ikea table plus a few coats of house paint, they’re pretty decent for how cheap they are and you can finish them however you want

Is Reverb the best place to sell online? Any experiences?

Someone I know has a Motif ES6 they want to replace with a hammer-action controller.

dunno about best but it is still reputable as far as i know. my only experience was with buying a steinberg ur44 audio interface. was exactly as described and the price was outstanding, no regrets

it’s pretty much the best out there, they do take an annoyingly large cut but there really isn’t anything else that is as popular so you’re pretty guaranteed to be able to sell things if you price it well

reverb is good, i’ve made a few cash in hand deals from there and got away with no fees…
depending on what you’re selling/where you are, i’ve mostly sold gear via facebook groups over the last couple of years.

don’t sell to anyone in rhode island or delaware

edit: pre etsy buyout it was fantastic. now it’s not so great. high fees and lots of returns

I’ve had a fine time as a buyer on reverb, but better luck selling on craigslist & forums (talkbass, mainly)

i’ve bought a bunch of stuff off reverb and it’s all been on time as described. granted they do take a large cut from what i’ve heard, yeah. but miles better than craigslist/ebay anyway. i do think speciality buy/sell forums on thegearpage or whatever are likely better, but also more gatekept if that makes sense - like i will always search reverb first.

i’m still waiting on my wah pedal to get here but the seller messaged that it’s coming soon.

let’s say i wanted a very simple piece of USB MIDI hardware that had a 1-3 sliders and 3-6 rotary knobs, and that was it. Is there anything like that in existence?

I want something ultra-portable and minimalistic that gives me some very simple “analog” input.

Yes I’m learning to DJ sorry everyone

Are pads a dealbreaker?

Would you consider more knobs in lieu of sliders?

it’s a shame arturia doesn’t have one of these

as someone who owns the nanokontrol2, i would definitely recommend going for the midimix instead

This is the simplest one Native Instruments makes, getting warmer

there’s definitely some DJ specific things like this, but i think they cost more and have less flexibility than the more generic midi controllers.

Yeah, looks like the Native Instruments ones aren’t MIDI? But support other drivers
