I’m gone for the holidays and can not access my PS4. How is this game? I’m excited to give it a shot when I’m back home!

I predict that this game will make you smile involuntarily at least three times.

Does it have a little more meat than Noby Noby Boy because while there was a lot I liked about that one in theory, I did not actually enjoy playing it for more than a few minutes at a time

Takahashi went to sculpting school and created a watering can in the shape of a cow, whose spouts were attached to its udders. I would like to see Takahashi make a book of industrial design, creating gadgets out of mundane life and drawing over photographs.

Also that crank game. Give me that.

This game has the playground feeling of Noby Noby Boy, but it also has more of a story and concrete goals that you can pursue at your leisure. There is also a win condition.

The music is dynamic, based on the character you are controlling and the area you are in.

Have you ever laughed about a day 1 patch, and wanted to experience it?

Because now I do.
Have to get this asap!

My first session with Wattam ended with it hardlocking.

The game freezes as it loads something in the way of underpowered hardware. Consoles ARE computers.

Keita Takashi either likes or has been overexposed to a specific kind of youtube video.

I played through this and it was adorable. I felt like a baby playing with a mobile. Highly recommended.

He probably wants you to stop playing and go outside instead.

I really liked this, more of a game than a toy as Noby Noby Boy was and progression that feels like katamari levels.

Not out on steam, so I am gonna wait a bit longer, i guess?

It’s an Epic Games Store exclusive, so I imagine probably 6-12 months exclusivity? Is that how they’re doing things? I saw Hades was put on Steam in the past few months.

uuhhhhh, thanks for the heads up!

guess i will either get it on PS4 or not play it for a while, since i will not get into this EPIC store-thing.

FYI the game runs pretty poorly on a non-pro PS4. It tends to hang and lag when new stuff is being rendered (usually when you get a new objective). And load times are super long. It didn’t get in the way of my enjoyment, but if you have a nice pc then maybe it runs better that way.

Well that was thoughtful. It took me about 10 sessions to playthrough because the random children noises are identical to the above mentioned youtube videos that uhh…multiple friends with young children watch. I don’t know what’s up them but the kid shuts and stares and you just hear randomly children and babies cheering, laughing, and crying.

So I kept having flashbacks of being in friends cars and hearing babies crying and taking seconds to figure out what the hell was that sound.

It’s like way to finnicky and cumbersome a game for small children and most people between the age of 10 and 22 are going to find it too childish.

My critical faculties are failing me to figure out what exactly this misses the mark for me. The objectives are good but also you are supposed to find joy in the limited verb set.

I’ll just go back to Katamari I suppose.

yeah I think if nothing else this is probably the least conflicted I’ve seen a game be about being a baby toy for middle aged people, which is actually kind of interesting, I don’t mean for that to sound too damning with faint praise
