this was one of the games i got for christmas when i was 7 and i think it instilled in me some weird values about game design, the cycle of death, and sphere transformation
This is a recent addition to my brain but…
You literally do fight corona viruses in Bonk. Like I thought I was nuts until I saw OTHER virus shapes in the level and confirmed it was intentional.
I started trying to record an audiobook of this when I didn’t have a job but did not get very far. It’s an amazing book though, haha.
Pure fantasy, the real court system is never this just
the stuff you’re not supposed to be able to read in video game assets.

this is from the intro of dark cloud, but it was on the dark cloud 2 disc for some reason. i noticed that the paper on the top left has actual words so i tried to decipher some of it so i could run them through a search engine and see if there’s a source.
So far, all I can make out are:
- “…HIS TFARS AWAY” (tears/fears?)
- “the best way to shine a bright light”
- “comes from a lack of inner harmony and”
- “twenty-four hours a day”
- “and come again” (“and once again”?)
These don’t turn up any results so it could be anything.
Dark Cloud fascinates me because it’s a game like Resident Evil 2 in that it existed in a very different form that we’ve only seen pieces of.
i just saw this but i’m gonna be thinking about it a lot I can already tell
this guard in parasite eve is definitely a stan lee cameo.

mitochondria = mako
klamp = hojo

whenever i think about ff12 my thoughts always go to this lady who i guess woke up one morning and put her clothes on in the wrong order and realized it too late to change so she just rolled with it.
apparently, she just gave up on them at some point, though:
I’m a weird perv and even I don’t know what they were going for with that string on top…
superman
I’d support Superman having exactly this string on top of his red briefs
Refuse to believe 30k of those followers weren’t bought.
On the other hand that account has exposed me to a few games I’d like to play that I’m not sure I’d have heard of otherwise
anytime anybody ever says “welcome back” I have to choke down the urge to say either “TO THE STAGE OF HISTORY” or “to that same old place that you laughed about”
